Building A Simple Budget
With the current economic situation, people are unsurprisingly getting more and more worried about managing their personal finances. The best way to steer clear of any financial troubles is to come up with a good plan of attack for managing your finance. Bringing a simple budget into your life can do wonders for your finances and it doesn’t have to be boring or overcomplicated. Detailed budgets can get confusing and therefore they become far too difficult to stick to for the average person. Often an easy budget is the most effective one and we are going to take a look at ways in which you can create a very simple but effective budget of your own. Once you learn to apply this budget, you will be much more confident and efficient about managing your finances.
One of the best ways to start managing your finances is to use the following simple budget. The idea is that you take your income and you divide it up into three sections, money for essential bills and expenses, money for luxuries and personal expenses and money for savings, paying off debts or investing. An example of a good budget would look something like this:
20% of your income should go into savings or investments
60% of your income should be used to pay your day to day living expenses
20% of your income should be used to pay for personal expenditures and luxuries
The real beauty of this budget is that it is so simple to stick to. At the start of each month put 20% of your wages into a savings account and the rest of the budget is fairly easy to manage.
