This is a list of the eleven most expensive films made to date. I ended up including eleven in this list instead of ten because three of the films ended up being tied. The money required to make blockbusters these days keeps going up, with increasingly complex special effects and crazy salaries being paid to the actors involved. I guess the audience expects more and more from a film as time goes on and subsequently the film companies need to spend more and more money in order to give the audience what they want. Bear in mind that the figures here do not take into account things like advertising and marketing and so the actual cost of the film may be even higher.
