If you are looking for the next big business idea then chances are you are probably finding it much harder that you imagined. In this list I have come up with a few important pointers that will help you come up with a business idea to make you famous and rich.

Solve a problem

All great business ideas generally involve finding a way to solve someone’s problems. The best ideas are always based around making life easier or better for a consumer and you can always find a way to do something better if you look hard enough. James Dyson for example took a boring item like the household vacuum cleaner and made it more efficient and easier to use which made him a millionaire. Don’t reinvent the wheel

Having a good idea doesn’t always mean you need to come up with a product that no one else has thought of before. Some of the most successful businesses are ones that take existing business models and either make them into something different or improve them. Amazon.com for example started off as nothing more than an old fashioned book store which distributed its products over the internet. They used a well proven existing business model but just spiced it up to make it more efficient for the customer.

Do it better

Sometimes the best ideas come from finding ways to do things other businesses already do more efficiently. Sometimes even providing better customer service than your competitors can make you stand out and help your business succeed. You should always be thinking of ways to make your business better than everyone else’s and stand out from the crowd. If you can offer faster delivery, better products, cheaper products or better customer service then you already have the makings of a great business.
